'Why I LV= Spring' photo and caption prize competition terms and conditions

If you are entering the ‘Why I LV= Spring’ photo and caption competition, please read the terms and conditions below.

• To enter the ‘Why I LV= Spring’ photo and caption competition (“Competition”) you must register on the LV= online community at www.LV.com/community. No purchase is necessary.

• By entering this Competition you agree to comply with, and be bound by these terms and conditions.

• Once you have registered on the LV= online community you can upload as many entries as you choose although you will only be eligible to win one prize. Liverpool Victoria Friendly Society Limited (“LV=”) are unable to accept postal entries.

• Photos uploaded for the Competition must not exceed 5MB in size and must be provided in one of the following file formats: jpg, gif or png images.

• Photos must not show any product brand names or contain obscene or indecent material within the imagery, including nudity, pornography or foul language. They must not contain defamatory content, including but not limited to, words or symbols that are widely considered offensive to individuals of a certain race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or socioeconomic group.

• You must hold all rights for visual content you upload, either as the owner of the image or because you hold written consent supplied to you by the owner of the image (for example: a professional photographer). You grant a worldwide, perpetual licence to LV= to feature any or all of your entries in any of its publications, websites and/or in promotional material connected to the Competition.

• The first prize is £250, and there are three runners-up prizes of £100. The prizes will be paid either by cheque, direct transfer into the winners specified bank account or by another method agreed by LV=. The prize doesn’t include any expenses arising in relation to the prize. LV= reserves the right in its reasonable discretion to substitute any prize with an alternative prize of equal value.

• The Competition is open to residents of the UK (excluding Channel Islands and Isle of Man) as long as they are over 18 years of age. The Competition isn’t open to staff of LV=, the immediate family of staff, or anyone directly connected with the Competition.

• LV= don’t accept responsibility for entries that are lost whilst uploading onto the LV= community.

• THE CLOSING DATE FOR RECEIPT OF ENTRIES IS MIDNIGHT 2nd June 2010. Any entries made after this date and time will be discounted.

• The winner and three runners-up will be chosen, by Monday 14th June 2010, by a panel of judges appointed by LV= and the panel’s decision is final. The winning entries will be those that are judged to be the most witty, romantic and original. Winners will be notified by email, post and/or telephone within 28 working days of the closing date. LV= will make every effort to contact the winners. If LV= can’t contact a winner an alternative winner will be selected and notified within a further 28 days.

• You can find out the names of the judges and/or the winners by sending a SAE to: ‘Why I LV= Spring’ Competition, LV=, County Gates, Bournemouth, BH1 2NF, up to two months after the closing date.

• Winners agree to participate in publicity relating to the Competition and to publication of their name, likeness and county of residence, for the purposes of announcing the winner of this Competition and for related marketing purposes.

• LV= reserve the right to amend the Competition terms and conditions and to withdraw the prizes at any time.

• English law applies and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts shall prevail.
